Many toys have more than simple ‘on’ and ‘off’ functions, but can be tricky to control. Let’s face it – normally it’s in a place that isn’t always the easiest to reach, and even if you can it’s not like you can easily see the controls unless you’re surprisingly flexible.
Wired remotes were popular for a while, and did the job when you were controlling everything yourself. They let you easily see what buttons you can press or dials you can move without having to sprain yourself in the attempt.
But if you’re a little energetic – or if you try and use it with a partner – you’ll quickly find that having cables running from remote to toy is an excellent way to get tangled. And nothing breaks the mood like realising you’ve tied you or your partner into a complicated knot (unless you enjoy that sort of thing, in which case I’d like to invite you to our bondage section).
Wireless remotes don’t have that problem – they work from a distance (sometimes more than 10m away) without anything between your and your toy of choice. And it’s not limited to just the traditional egg – you can get wireless pearl birds as well.
But the possibilities don’t just end with the bedroom with wireless technology. Those who are more ‘publically minded’ may find that the combination of long range, no wires and whisper-quiet vibration add to a great night out on the town.
Going out with a discrete toy and the remote control on your keychain (or your partners) is an experience you won’t soon forget!
So for tangle-free solo fun, or a meal out where the the staff will wonder if the temperature is too high because of your bright, rosy cheeks, you’ll find that wireless toys are an excellent addition to your Secret Toybox.
